This is by way of an update on last week's post about Church of Beethoven on Sunday, 12/5. I was the featured poet, standing room only crowd, truly an amazing experience. The NM Symphony musicians were all wonderful and I especially liked Guillermo Figueroa, solo violinist, with a string ensemble playing Fall from Astor Piazolla's Four Seasons, lots of big, tangy tango sound! The Kosmos Coffee House/Artspace is fun to be in and when is the last time your barista pulled you a latte while you attended the symphony? The wind plays you for a fool.

You fall for it.

Know you can't fly but believe it briefly.

You see the leaves get picked up, high, east swirling.

No name birds drift over.

It looks so easy!

You go out spinning in your boots,

fall for it, every autumn.
